The sentence following "Beethoven deprecated the instruments of his era," should read: "In a special performance at Hatchlands (London area), Taub performed several sonatas on three historical pianos by Longman and Broderip (1795), Broadwood (1816), and Streicher (1823), demonstrating how Beethoven demanded evermore from the pianos at his disposal.”
